HOW TO FIND INSPIRATION AS WE AGE, AT ANY AGE

They Call Us Elderly, Then Look Through Us

This is From Your BoomerGal…It’s so True

For you Boomers, please read and pass it along to ALL your friends and family.

We were born in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

We grew up in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

We studied in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

We were dating in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

We got married and discovered the world in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

We ventured into the workforce in the 80’s and 90’s.

We stabilized in the 2000’s.

We got wiser in the 2010’s.

And we are going firmly through and beyond 2020.

Turns out we’ve lived through EIGHT different decades…

Two different centuries…

Two different millennia…

We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long-distance calls and a party-line to video calls to anywhere in the world.

We have gone from projector slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and texting.

From live matches on the radio, to black-white TV, color TV and then to 3D HD TV.

We went to the video store for VHS and now we watch Netflix.

We got to know the first computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have gigabytes and terabytes on our smartphones.

We wore shorts throughout our childhood and then long trousers, Oxfords, flares, shell suits and blue jeans.

We dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.

We strapped on skates, rode tricycles, bicycles, mopeds, drove gasoline or diesel cars and now we’re driving hybrids and EV’s.

Yes, we’ve been through a lot, but what a great life we’ve had.

They could describe us as “exennials,” people who were born in that world of the forties and fifties, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood.

We’ve kind of “Seen It All.”

Our generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.

It is our generation that has literally adapted to “CHANGE.”

A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will always be UNIQUE.

So, I’m passing along this precious and true message that I received from a friend…

TIME DOES NOT STOP.

Life is a task that we brought ourselves to do at home.

When you look…it’s already six in the afternoon;

When you look…it’s already Friday;

When you look…the month is almost over;

When you look…the year is almost over;

When you look…50, 60 and 70 years have passed!

When you look…we no longer know where our friends are.

When you look…we lost the love of our life…and now it’s too late to go back.

SO…

Do not stop doing something you like due to lack of time.

Do not stop having someone by your side.  Your children will soon be out of the house and you will have to do something with that remaining time, where the only thing that we are going to miss will be the space that can only be enjoyed with the usual friends if you’re lucky enough to have them.

The time which unfortunately, never returns…

So, the day is today.

WE ARE NO LONGER AT AN AGE TO POSTPONE ANYTHING.

As your Number One BoomerGal, I felt compelled to share this message with you as Boomers, but actually it is for anyone of any age, because at some point, you will simply plug in your age, and create your own memories.  Regardless of how old you are, my message to you, “don’t postpone life, because you can’t get it back.”

The BOOMERGAL reminder, STAY RELEVANT in all you do, and without exception, reach for YOUR ULTIMATE LIFESTYLE.
